about
My favorite from this album. Combines the native sound from where I grew up (Lummi Tribe, NW Coast) a melody I'd written for a film almost 20 years ago, and some new lyrics and music.
lyrics
Nobody loses all the time
Nobody loses everything
There's always something left
There's always going to be a crumb for the mouse
Who lives inside the wall
He's not got far to fall
He told me
Nobody loses everything they love
Oh...
Nobody loses all the time
Nobody loses everything
There's always something left
There's always going to be a place for the dead
To lay their weary heads
They don't need feather beds
They're singing,
"Nobody loses everything the love."
Nobody loses all the time
Nobody loses everything
There's always something left
There's always going to be skeleton man
Who leads a marching band
To lead us from the land
Where they say,
"Nobody loses everything the love."
Oh...
